Webinar: Practical Application of Shock Wave Therapy in Canine Rehabilitation

This webinar is expected to be 60 minutes in length depending upon participation.
Prerequisites: The webinar is open to all veterinarians, veterinary technicians/nurses, and veterinary students as well as physical therapists that have successfully completed Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation. CCRPs are also welcome. Veterinary technicians/nurses are required to submit an Employment Agreement Letter (EAL).
Webinar Description: The science behind shockwave therapy will be explained, and best practices for clinical application of this modality will be provided.

Topic: Technology and Mechanism of Action of Shock Wave Therapy
Learning objective: Participants will learn what a shock wave is, different types of shockwave generation, and the mechanism of action. Research supporting shock wave use in canine rehabilitation will be discussed.

Topic: Clinical Applications of Shock Wave Therapy
Leaning objective: Participants will learn how to apply shock wave therapy to clinical cases, how to select appropriate cases, and how to select treatment parameters. Case examples will be discussed.
