“Of the three major commitments I've made to post-grad certifications, the CRI course is undoubtedly the best organized and most conducive to learning. The course will be highly relevant to my daily practice. I'm stoked to see how much more effective I'll be at helping my patients enjoy life."
–Carla Wilkie, DVM, CVA, CVC, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

“CRI gave me the skills I needed to apply my human physical therapy experience to our canine rehabilitation practice. The classroom lectures combined with hands-on labs were invaluable."
–Amy Kramer, PT, DPT, CCRT, Santa Monica, California

Certification Programs and Continuing Education Courses
We offer two certification programs in rehabilitation: Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) for veterinarians and physical therapists, and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse (CCRVN) for veterinary technicians/nurses. Veterinary technicians/nurses with credentials including CVT, LVT, RVT, AHT or those who have completed a two-year veterinary technology program will be certified as Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurses (CCRVN) if they are working under the direction of a rehabilitation-certified veterinarian or physical therapist. Veterinary technicians/nurses without formal credentials will be certified as Canine Rehabilitation Assistants (CCRA). If the applicant is not a credentialed veterinary technician, a letter of recommendation will be required following the guidelines specified in the course application. Since CRI was founded in 2002, we have certified more than 1,500 students from 30 countries.

CRI also offers a certification program in acupuncture: Certified Veterinary Acupuncture Therapist for licensed veterinarians. This comprehensive acupuncture training program consists of two required modules and one elective, taught entirely from a neurophysiological, scientific basis with generous input from the scientific literature.

Starting in March 2023, we plan to hold most U.S. rehabilitation courses at CRI's new home in Springfield, Missouri. Our Acupuncture certification modules will remain in Colorado in 2023, then move to Springfield, Missouri in 2024. We have taught in countries around the world including Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom. We also offer a variety of continuing education opportunities year-round. Check out the CRI course schedule for upcoming courses.
