Canine Rehabilitation Institute offers multiple certifications in Canine Rehabilitation for veterinarians (CCRT), physical therapists (CCRT), veterinary technicians(CCRVT)/nurses(CCRVN), and assistants (CCRA) Our program is a hybrid of online and in-person learning.

CRI offers the Certified Veterinary Acupuncture Therapists program, CVAT, for veterinarians. This program is neuroanatomical based with an influence of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. Students will feel prepared to begin treating their patients after their first module. Understanding and expertise are built upon this foundation as modules progress.

About CCRT Certification Modules

The four modules that make up the CCRT certification, provide you with foundational knowledge of anatomy, physical therapy techniques, diagnostic and treatment proficiency, care planning, evaluation of progression, and witnessing a practice in action. This comprehensive program will give you the confidence to provide the best care for your patients and get them on their journey toward healing.

Module 1 - Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation

This course will set you on the right path with a solid foundation to learn new ways to help your patients.

Module 2 - Clinical Skills for the Rehabilitation Therapist

Take your assessment and treatment planning to the next level with the second of four modules in the CCRT certification program!

Module 3 - Clinical Applications for the Rehabilitation Therapist

Prepare yourself for a career in rehabilitation therapy by learning how to integrate all the necessary components and apply them to your patients.

Module 4 - Internship

The final step of obtaining the CCRT certification is a 40-hour internship where you will put your new skills to work!

About This Certification

CRI’s certification programs are recognized by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) and RACE approved. All modules leading to certification include in-person, hands-on lab sessions preceded by didactic learning via online independent study sessions. Students must complete all three of their in-person educational certification modules within a 3-year time frame. Then, their Internship must be completed within two years of finishing the coursework.
