Course Description
This course is the second of three modules for CVAT certification.
The course consists of a four-day, in-person, hands-on learning session with various canine patients to learn from.
Veterinary Medical Acupuncture for Sports Medicine/Rehabilitation Patients will provide students with the opportunity to refine and expand the acupuncture needling skills learned in Introduction to Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. Students will gain an understanding of the neurophysiological and fascial physiology underpinning acupuncture. The application of acupuncture skills to various sports medicine/rehabilitation scenarios will be covered.
Prerequisites:
This course is open to licensed veterinarians and veterinary students who have completed Introduction to Veterinary Medical Acupuncture (Module 1). Veterinary students must have completed their second year of veterinary school.

RACE Approved for 32 Credit hours by the AAVSB
Note: The last day of class ends early to allow students the opportunity to return home that evening. Do not make airline reservations that require you to depart class before 3:00 P.M.

Please Note: The CVAT certification modules tend to sell out months in advance. It is recommended that you register for all three modules at once to ensure your certification modules will be complete in the same year. However, you can choose to take more time and complete your modules at a slower pace.
