What to Expect When Traveling to Denver, Colorado

Denver, nicknamed the "Mile High City," is a vibrant, modern metropolis nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, offering a unique blend of urban culture and breathtaking natural scenery. The city boasts a lively downtown with world-class restaurants, a thriving arts and music scene, top-rated museums, and one of the country's most celebrated craft brewery cultures. With over 300 days of sunshine annually and easy access to world-famous ski resorts and hiking trails just an hour away, Denver is an exciting destination that beautifully balances city life with outdoor adventure. The CRI Headquarters is a top-notch facility, located just east of Denver proper in Aurora, Colorado. It is a quick 15-minute drive from Denver International Airport to Aurora. The headquarters are specifically designed to enhance your learning journey. Our classrooms and labs are generously sized and furnished with all the essential tools required for a successful education.

Please note: The altitude can sometimes be an adjustment, and it's important that students stay hydrated. Please bring a water bottle and Chapstick.

Class Details: Please check the schedule for each day of your particular course as times can vary based on the instructor and location. We ask that you schedule your travel so that you do not arrive late to class or need to leave early. Students who do not attend a full day of class will not receive any CE credit hours for that day and may have to return to make up the missing hours.

Please ensure that you dress comfortably for our labs, which may take place both indoors and outdoors. However, please keep in mind that the classroom may get chilly at times, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or a long-sleeve shirt.

It's also important to make sure you have enough space in your suitcase for your textbooks, lab book, and any materials you may need to purchase.

Important Notice for In-Person Attendance and International Travel

All participants are responsible for checking and complying with the entry requirements of the country where in-person sessions will take place. We strongly recommend reviewing current regulations through official government sources (such as the U.S. Department of State or the destination country’s foreign office).

Please note: It is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they meet all entry requirements. Canine Rehabilitation Institute is not liable for any issues that may arise from denied entry at the border.

For those traveling to the United States:
Holding a valid visa does not guarantee entry into the U.S. Final decisions are made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers upon arrival.
Be sure to carry all required travel documents, and we also suggest bringing supporting materials such as your return flight ticket, hotel reservation, and any other relevant information. It’s important to remain courteous and cooperative when speaking with immigration officers.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We're here to help!
