Course Description
This three (3) day course will focus on how the fascial system has been gaining importance in the diagnosis and treatment of locomotor problems. In addition to adhesions and shortening, as fascia also has nerve endings, it also has a role in pain and motor coordination. The IASTM (Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), Cupping, and Flossing techniques will be presented in theory and practice to show how this fast and effective technique can assist in rehabilitation.
The kinesiology taping technique, widely used in humans, is growing rapidly for small animals. This course empowers participants to use the kinesiology taping technique, an essential physical therapy modality that can be used alone or complement other techniques. The practical part will demonstrate the application of the technique in the most common orthopedic problems in small animals.
